Ruby felt a distinct wave of relief when the door swung open to reveal Loki on the other side, not looking the least put out by her infringing on his private time. She kept her smile at his words, grateful for his indulgence, and gave him a nod.

"I just wanted to talk to you about some things," she said, and then so that he would understand the full nature of her visit, added, "private things. So I guess that'll take more than a minute, if you can spare the time. Would you rather I come in, or we go for a walk?"
